Vicki Alvord has over 30 years of financial planning, accounting, logistical, and supervisory experience in entertainment, real estate, mortgage lending, manufacturing and politics. She has planned and implemented innovative business change and financial control systems for several companies.
Career highlights include twelve years in the film industry working in positions of Producer, Associate Producer, Production Manager, Auditor and Accountant for over twenty films and television series. Her love of people and process led her to years of political organizational campaigns, including working on a presidential campaign for two years. (He won!)
Vicki also spent fifteen years as co-owner and CFO of a software company for the production of business continuity software where she led numerous consulting projects, including a disaster recovery relocation exercise for the main DC office of a major governmental department. She has worked in real estate including appraisals and sales, at which time she held a Texas real estate license.
Vicki serves on the Vestry of her church and the Chair of their Endowment Committee. She is a member of the Finance Committee and has led the youth program. She has served on the boards of numerous philanthropic organizations, including two organizations close to her heart, Project Discovery of Virginia, an organization to serve first generation, low income students, and Over My Shoulder Foundation, to mentor youth.
Vicki enjoys movies, reading, sports, and her wide-ranging family. Vicki envisions an intentional community where elders can live together in friendship in beautiful surroundings with excellent and caring attention from staff and management. When multiple generations are included, it is MAGIC!
